What condition is your American flag in?

Hey Bo fans!

I would like to start a discussion about the American flag. Do join in below!

We recently received this message:

“I liked your page and am a fan of your American made products. However, I am confused as to why there is an image of a tattered flag in your pic? Old Glory is looking more like a discarded rag than a symbol of deep national pride. It’s a disgrace, all the more so with American troops fighting for their lives and our freedoms in Iraq, Afghanistan and other faraway lands. The least we can do is treat the country’s most revered emblem with the respect it deserves. Sorry but, I have to ask, am I missing a message?”

As the CEO of Bodacious Cases I would like to make it very clear that we would NEVER do anything to disrespect this country. It shouldn’t matter if our flag on the wall is faded. It’s been in our family for years and my father, who is a Veteran, sees this flag everyday. We hang that flag with respect and honor for those who serve and for those who lost their lives fighting for our freedom.

As I always say, if it wasn’t for people like my father who sacrifice their lives for our freedoms, then I wouldn’t have the choice to make my products in the USA.

I would  rather hang that “tattered flag” with pride than to throw it away and let it go in the landfill or have it burnt by someone else. I was raised to be proud of what you have – no matter how out of style, worn out or different it may be. Yes, you should care what others think, but at the end of the day, do what you believe is right.

We will continue to proudly display this flag at our Headquarters and I would like to say from all of us at Bodacious Cases that we are sorry if this offends you, but that was never our intention.

I fight very hard to keep my products Made in America for a reason, but when something is a little faded, we shouldn’t just throw it away. We have a lot of flags here at Bo Headquarters and will continue to add more in the future, but for now, this family flag will hang proudly in our workspace so we can look at it each day and thank God for the opportunity to live in this blessed nation.

So, what do you think? Comment, tweet or leave a message on our FB wall. We want to know your thoughts!
