Where I learned my bodacious business skills

I was fortunate enough to be interviewed by Amelia at the Christian County Headliner. Although they focused on me and my business, i’d like to dedicate this blog to my BODACIOUS mom, Cheri Russell. Below my blog will be the article from the Christian County Headliner

How I learned my bodacious business skills

I love my business, Bodacious Cases, but something about working with my mom and best friend is something you can’t get with a college degree. Here are just a few things what she’s taught me and how great of a person my mother is.

She’s taught me things that you can’t learn anywhere but from her. She’s taught me the value of life, the small things are important, that crawling under a house in 10 degree weather to fix something I’ve never fixed before (becoming Anna plumber) can be done if you put your mind to it and say I can do it. She’s taught me that if she can raise 4 kids with a husband (my dad in bed) with a broken pelvis in 6 places & a right hip for 16 1/2 months and ran 2 businesses while doing do that you can do anything! She doesn’t only run her own 2 businesses, but she also doesn’t miss a meeting with Bodacious Cases. She’s my partner in crime ;)! The pictures taken here are are a couple pictures of us being interviewed by the Christian County Headliner.

The way it works is you have to cross promote your businesses to make them work when you have little money. You have to make do with what you have and always know that you’ll do better when you can.

I’d like to thank my mother, Cheri for all she does. She is one impressive lady and is why I am who I am and where I am today. She’s simply the best mother EVER and the best friend a friend could ask for.

This story means a lot to me for so many reasons, but they included a tweet that Shark Tank and the owner of FUBU Daymond John For him to take the time to tweet me was amazing, but for him to say that I remind him of himself 20 years ago is totally BODACIOUS! This man is not only very successful, but his story is amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting him in 2013 and will see him again, but until then I will think about this tweet all the time.

Also, this article  really makes me proud because the Christian County Headliner did an entire paragraph about buying local and buying Made in America and how it affects us all wether we notice it or not. Plus my mom and I got the quote of the week….pretty bodacious!
