Me and Bo at the Polling Station Election Day Nov. 6, 2012

Election day!Today is November 6th, 2012 and it’s HAPPY VOTERS DAY! Today is the most important day of our next 4 years. I hope you’ve done your research and voted. If you haven’t, don’t worry we still have a few hours left. Our friend Bo and I have voted!! I feel it’s important to vote no matter who you vote for. Our Armed Forces fight for our freedom and our country so we can vote. They risk their lives every day for us to have the privilege and right to vote. Other countries do not have this freedom…go vote because you can!  I feel that’s a way to re-pay those who risk their lives for our freedom.

It's important to vote!

Bo Watching the Vote! Important decision being made, here!

It is estimated that 133 million Americans will cast a vote today. Are you one of them?  Only 56% of Americans voted in 2008. A lot of people say they aren’t going to vote because 1 vote won’t make a difference. I disagree. Every vote counts. If 1 million Americans say “my vote won’t count” and there’s a million, that’s 1 million Americans who can make a difference by voting. Voting is a way to speak your voice. You have the freedom to vote and the neat thing about it is that you don’t have to tell anyone who you voted for if you don’t want too.

For example my nieces and nephews are not old enough to vote, so I feel it is my duty as an American to vote. My one vote can make a difference and all of our little votes add up.

Bo Voted!

I want them to have a good future and a bright one. I want them to have a job and be able to provide for their families. I want change, therefore I let the ballot reader know my thoughts.

Bo voted, so can you! If you want to make a difference your first duty is to go vote.
